Our luxury holiday rental apartment in Kalkan lies on the Lycian peninsula on the southwest tip of Turkey in a region commonly referred to as the Turquoise Coast, so named after the beautiful shades the sea takes along the shoreline.  Kalkan is steeped in the history of its fishing village origins but today focuses on its exclusive reputation as Turkey’s premier holiday location.

‘Quality not  quantity’ is an appropriate phrase to describe the haven that is Kalkan. Locals and repeat visitors alike make no apology for discouraging mass package tourism, whilst strict planning regulations ensure that the allure and atmosphere of Kalkan is maintained.

The cobbled pedestrian centre delights the senses with its fishing village charm.  Meander through the narrow streets and browse bazaar stalls offering local goods and wares where you can barter for authentic souvenirs.  Do be sure of visiting the all day Market which is every Thursday and well worth a visit.   Walks down to the harbour and watch the boats come and go from a sun-kissed waterside cafe.
